The Forensic Air-Lite V is the result of a request by a US government component for a very fast and durable system that is self-contained. Like other Forensic-Computers.com systems, the Forensic Air-Lite V was designed and tested to strict forensic requirements.

The Forensic Air-Lite V is equipped with one 120GB IDE OS Drive in a CRU, and one Combo DVD +R/+RW/-R/-RW drive. The system also has an Adaptec 29160 Ultra 160 SCSI card and the Promise SATA300 TX4302 controller card, with two external eSATA ports and two internal SATA II ports. This combination allows the user to acquire all SCSI hard drives and ATA 33/66/100/133 IDE hard drives as well as the Serial ATA 150/300 hard drives. The included Tableau write protection bridges for SATA, IDE and SCSI drives make a winning combination.

The Forensic Air-Lite V system is compatible with all commercial forensic acquisition and analysis software including EnCase®, Forensic Tool Kit®, SMART®, SafeBack®, all of the Mares tools, and other older MS-DOS® based legacy tools.
