Forensic Computers, Inc. has been involved in computer forensics and data recovery for over 10 years. We have expanded our capabilities to include FAILED hard drive recovery using the latest technology available. Physical failure can be any of the following:

  • Electrical Component Failure (Failed or burnt chip on the PCB)
  • Mechanical Failure (Damaged READ/WRITE heads, spindle motor)
  • Physical damage from fire, electrical surge, being dropped, etc.

Symptoms can include:

  • The drive making a clicking noise
  • Drive suddenly not recognized by the system
  • Drive access or writes slow down

There are also non-physical or logical problems that can prevent you from getting your data. These include:

  • Accidentally formatting a drive
  • Accidentally deleting files
